CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A body was discovered on the banks of the Kanawha River and police are still trying to piece together what happened.
Officers say they were called to the scene underneath the Interstate 64 bridge about 8 a.m. Saturday. They say the autopsy shows the man fell to his death and no foul play is suspected.
Detectives aren't sure if this was an accident or what caused the man to fall between the gap in the bridges. They say several abandoned vehicles were found on the interstate bridge but believe the victim was not driving one of them.
Police say the man did not have any identification in him. He's a black man in his twenties between 5'6" and 5'7", 150 to 160 pounds. If you have any information call Charleston Police at 304-348-6480.
