Missing Cold case - Concordia Parrish, Louisiana

Joseph Edwards – Black – Age 25 (1964)
Missing since July 12, 1964 from Concordia Parish, Louisiana
Endangered Missing

Nickname: JoeEd

He had possible burn scars on his body from a prior accident.

JoeEd was last seen in Vidalia, Louisiana on July 12, 1964. The mother of Joseph Edwards reported him missing to the FBI in Natchez after her son's car was found a few days after his disappearance. The car was found on the street behind the old bowling alley on the Ferriday-Vidalia Highway. Bloodstains were found inside the car and Joseph’s mother told the FBI that "the Klan" was responsible for her son's disappearance. This is a possible civil rights case. [MY NOTE: From what I understand, the Klan was very active in that area of the state at that time].
