GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Deputies in Wayne County say the search for a missing 16-year-old is now a homicide investigation.
They've identifed the four men they say are responsible for the disappearance of 16-year-old Kennedy McLaurin Jr.
Right now, they're searching for Leonard Joyner. If you have any
information about his whereabout, contact local law enforcement.
Earlier Friday deputies blocked off a small dirt path off of Carmack
Rd. south of Goldsboro. Search crews combed an area in Seven Springs all
day looking for McLaurin.
Authorities say tips from the
community gave them concrete leads and they have physical evidence to
support that McLaurin's abduction was not a random act.
