Silver Alert - Illinois

9/13/2012: CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: MISSING MAN: Police are searching this evening for Freddie Burgos (73) who went missing today from his residence on the city's Irving Park neighborhood. Freddie was last seen about 9 a.m. leaving his residence on the 3800 block of North Albany Avenue, police said.

Burgos suffers from Alzheimer's and has elevated blood pressure. He wears a Medic Alert bracelet, police said.

He was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt with USA on the front, blue jean slacks and black shoes, police said.


Burgos, who is the father of a Chicago police officer, is known to frequent Horner Park and Humboldt Park.

Police described Burgos as a white Hispanic man with medium complexion, gray hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds.

Burgos has an Eagle tattooed on his right bicep, police said.
