The Truth or Consequences Amber Alert has been cancelled. Article:
Sierra County: The Truth or Consequences Police Department and the New
Mexico State Police are canceling the Amber Alert for Safrina Ugsang,
based on the fact that she and her sister Vanessa have been located.
At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning September 16, 2012 the
2000 Lincoln Town car driven by Robeet Ugsang was detained at the United
States Border Patrol checkpoint on State Road 26 between Deming and
Hatch NM.
Safrina and Vanessa were in the vehicle and were
detained until officers from the Truth or Consequences arrived to take
custody of them. Both children were in good condition and unharmed.
The New Mexico State Police and the Truth or Consequences Police
Department would like to thank all the agencies involved in the search
for Safrina Ugsang.
There is an ongoing investigation in this
