Girl, 12, missing from CPS strike site



CHICAGO (FOX Chicago News) -
Police are asking for the public's help finding a girl with asthma who went missing from a Chicago Public Schools site set up for children during the strike.
Jaylin Johnson, 12, left her home in the 6800 block of South Prairie Avenue Tuesday with her cousin to attend the Harlem High School's "The Children First" site set up during the Chicago Public Schools strike, according to a missing person alert from Area Central detectives.
While at Harlem High, Johnson met with two friends and the group left the school about 12:30 p.m., police said. She has not yet returned home.
Johnson is described as a 4-feet-10, 115-pound black girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes, police said. She suffers from asthma and uses an inhaler.
She was last seen wearing jeans, a pink shirt and a white vest, police said.
