THIS
FIGHT FOR JULIETTE SERENITY GEURTS TO SEE JUSTICE HAS NOT COME EASY OR
WITHOUT A PRICE. Some days are more frustrating than others. Our faith
in the justice system has been shattered over the past 4 yrs & for
many in America, who have not experienced our nightmare, it is too hard
to believe or comprehend. Yes there are many good people who serve as
police officers, investigators, prosecuto
rs
& judges but what does a family do when there are a few bad apples
who fail to do their jobs? When prosecutors & judges sympathize
more with the criminals than the victims, what then? Children are
innocent & helpless who rely on us & the justice system to
protect them & enforce the laws. Every day there are too many cases
involving children where the justice system continues to negligently
fail in protecting & enforcing the laws already on the books
regarding crimes against children.
Nebraska has existing laws against child abuse, negligence & homicide but what good are they when they are ignored by the very prosecutors & judges given the power to enforce them? As in Juliette's case & so many others in Scottsbluff County Nebraska, the families & the community are forced to fight back. Juliette will soon have her Grand Jury & a Special Prosecutor to investigate the truth so that maybe in the end Justice will be served. So we wait while Juliette's justice has been placed into the inexperienced hands of a Special Prosecutor & Grand Jury of local citizens from Scottsbluff County Nebraska. They will work in secret & be empowered to investigate & do what the local law enforcement & prosecutors refused to do. WE HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF FAITH THAT THEY WILL INDICT all those responsible for the abuse, neglect & murder of an innocent little 2 year old child. FAITH! We have to pray & believe in the people of Scottsbluff county Nebraska will continue to fight for Justice for Juliette. No family should ever have to face this nightmare & it is time for change in a broken justice system...
